Fire Research & Technology, LLC’s experience, technology and state of the art facility, drive results. FRT leverages the latest technology to document thoroughly and accurately through photographs, videos, 3D imaging, drones and more. This combined with the high-tech laboratory gives our staff a distinct advantage over our competitors.
REAL TIME DIGITAL X-RAYS
Real time digital X-Ray capability gives Fire Research & Technology, LLC a distinct advantage in the fire science and failure analysis community. Having the ability to perform digital x-rays and interpret the results within minutes is why our laboratory is one of the best in the country.DRONE IMAGING
We use (UAS - Unmanned Aerial Systems) for large scene documentation providing an additional viewpoint of the loss site. Immediately following the loss, during the evidence collection process. The aerial photos and videos capture true size, layout and shape of the loss site without the added expense of renting large equipment. Fire Research & Technology, LLC adheres to Federal Aviation Administration regulations.VIRTUAL 3D IMAGING
Our 3D imaging system allows us to nondestructively document an entire scene in very little time and at the fraction of the cost of traditional scanners. Following three easy steps, the FRT team can take measurements, label rooms and evidence and share the space using a unique link to control privacy and distribution. Our clients can upload the floorplans to Xactimate to complete their estimating more efficiently. The 3D imaging system also provides a more accurate description of the contents claims process. The use of this camera can reduce spoliation claims at a later date.
Our 3D Imaging Microscope is the latest advancement in visual inspection and analysis technology. Unlike conventional microscopes, ours is optimized for capturing images using an integrated digital camera, making it the ideal system for cataloging and documenting each sample that is inspected. The optics of the system are designed to have a much larger depth-of-field, up to 20 times larger, ensuring that each area being imaged can be viewed in complete focus. This is imperative when looking at objects that have large changes in topography in order to truly understand the nature of the surface. The surface being viewed can also be quickly scanned and reconstructed in 3D to give users a better understanding of the overall shape as well.CHIMNEY INSPECTIONS
Our chimney scan is used to investigate and inspect the inside of chimneys for voids in mortar or cracks in brick, this can be completed by both video and single digital photographs. This also prevents a need to access the roof area and prevents the risk of falls or injuries.FORENSIC DIAGRAMING
Our team creates a forensic diagram that includes dimensions, window and door openings, fuel package locations, and location of evidence secured for future examination.ASBESTOS AWARENESS CERTIFIED
All our staff is trained in Asbestos Awareness.CONVECTION BENCHTOP OVEN
Fire Research & Technology’s LBB Forced Convection Benchtop Oven features a combination of horizontal and vertical airflow that offers excellent temperature uniformity. The benchtop oven allows us to perform material testing right in our lab producing immediate results to share with our clients.
